Online & On-Demand: The Latest Recycling Technologies, Strategies & Sustainable Materials Solutions To Reduce & Manage The Climate Impact of Present, Future & Disruptive E-Waste

For this year only, E-WASTE World Conference & Expo is returning as a virtual, online two-day international conference and exhibition dedicated to discussing the latest recycling technology, materials-recovery solutions, green electronics, sustainable materials, non-toxic substitutes, and end-of-life strategies, as well as regulatory and business models to help reduce the environmental impact of all forms of consumer and industrial E-Waste.

This immersive digital and on-demand event will bring together more than 100 globally renowned experts from consumer and industrial electronics manufacturers and suppliers, E-Waste recyclers and waste management companies, recycling technology manufacturers, materials recovery experts, sustainable material and chemical suppliers, science and academia, policy-makers, NGOs, research institutions and consultants.

The Growing Problem of E-Waste

  • Every year we generate 50 million tonnes of E-Waste, only 20% of which is ‘officially’ recycled. This is set to double to 120 million tonnes annually by 2050.
  • E-Waste represents just 2% of solid waste but 70% of the hazardous waste that ends up in landfill – deadly toxins such as arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury, chromium, polybrominated flame retardants, barium and lithium, to name a few.
  • Containing high-value and scarce materials such as gold, platinum, cobalt and rare earths, the economic value of electronic waste produced each year is €55 billion.
  • In 2018, there were 3 million electric vehicles on the roads – that could be 125 million by 2030, meaning more than 11 million tonnes of lithium-ion batteries entering the waste stream.
  • There could be 60 million tonnes of photovoltaic panels lying in landfills by 2050. Yet 96% of the materials in a PV panel can be recycled, which is a potential material influx that could produce 2 billion new panels worth US$15 billion.

Why Attend?

Watch more than 100 presentations from leading international experts from the electronics industry, E-Waste experts, technology manufacturers, raw materials suppliers, NGOs and leading research organizations.

Interact in our live sessions – as well as on-demand content you can also engage in our live panel discussions on 18-19 November where our panellists will be available to answer your questions. Panel discussions will be timed throughout each day to allow attendees across EMEA, Americas, and Asia-Pacific regions to participate, no matter where you are in the world.

Never miss a presentation – if you attended our 2019 event you’ll know that with so many presentations it’s impossible to be in more than one place at a time. With more content than ever before you can catch up in your own time for up to 30 days after the event on your desktop, tablet or mobile device.

Network with a truly global audience – while a virtual event can never fully replace face-to-face networking, our virtual platform will allow attendees to chat, message, and arrange one-on-one or group meetings via telephone or Zoom meetings directly through the platform. Our Networking Lounge will offer four dedicated tracks in-line with our conference agenda to offer the chance to exchange ideas and debate the hot button issues surrounding the global e-waste crisis.

Close the loop and create a circular economy with new and future recycling technologies, closed-loop materials recovery solutions, industry regulations and strategies to collect and reuse E-Waste.

Visit the virtual exhibition – more than 35 exhibitors will take part in the virtual exhibition area where you can find the latest solutions and innovations that will help increase the sustainability of your products, reduce your plastic footprint, create a more circular economy, and ultimately lead to reducing waste plastic in our oceans and environment.

Eliminate toxic and hazardous materials from electronics. Discover Green Electronics technologies, eco-design principles, bio-based chemicals and bio-based materials to replace toxic materials and eliminate single-use materials from your products.

Meet new Suppliers in our virtual exhibition zone and breakout digital networking sessions. Leading international technology manufacturers, chemicals suppliers and materials experts will showcase the latest and next-generation technology to recycle, manage and reduce E-Waste.

Exchange knowledge and network virtually with more than 600 sustainability leaders from some of the world’s largest international organizations.

Download the latest research – as well as all the on-demand video content, attendees will also have access to hundreds of research papers, conference proceedings, and technical information from the virtual exhibitor hall.
