E-Waste World Conference & Expo Advisory Board members are adding specialist, expert knowledge to help formulate the conference program. Today, we welcome the executive director of the StEP Initiative to the committee

Elisabeth Smith is the Executive Officer of the StEP Initiative, a multi-stakeholder platform bringing together different actors engaging in the management of e-waste on a global scale.

Elisabeth is an environmental scientist with a keen interest in e-waste management and in-depth knowledge of the subject on an international level. Besides leading the StEP Initiative, she is heading the Dismantling- and Recycling-Centre (DRZ) in Vienna, a socio-economic facility for the treatment of e-waste. Before joining the DRZ, Elisabeth worked for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) where she focused on developing and implementing e-waste management projects in East Africa and Latin America.

As well as offering some expert guidance on the topic of WEEE, Elisabeth will be hosting a special StEP Initiative session at the conference, the finer details of which will be announced shortly.

Additions to the Advisory Board will be announced in the coming days.

E-Waste World Conference & Expo will take place from Thursday 14 November to Friday 15 November at the Kap Europa, Frankfurt Messe, Germany.
