Stone Group is a leading circular ICT provider, working with both the public and private sector to fulfil their IT needs and manage the entire lifecycle of their IT assets from first purchase through to their end of life.
Since its launch in 1991, Stone has designed, configured, and deployed IT solutions to support its customers’ evolving technology needs. In addition to Stone branded desktops, notebooks and other IT devices, its partnerships with tech giants Microsoft, HP, Dynabook, Intel, Lenovo, Cisco Meraki, Blancco and Acer means it can provide best-in-class IT solutions along with personalised services and dedicated IT support.
Stone is committed to providing its customers with a 360 approach to IT asset management and supporting their sustainability goals. Once its customers have finished with their devices, they can arrange for Stone to come and pick them up and take them to its dedicated IT asset disposal facility in Staffordshire, where engineers securely wipe the devices and refurbish any items that can be given a second life, and those that cannot are sustainably recycled, ensuring zero waste is committed to landfill.
To help encourage even more organisations to sustainably dispose of their broken, unwanted or broken IT, late last year, Stone 360 was launched to market – a game changing IT recycling app that enables users to book and manage collections of their old devices in just a few easy clicks.
The award-winning app is free to download from Android and Apple stores, and users can earn points for each item they dispose of which can either be exchanged for a cash rebate or boosted to purchase new or refurbished ICT with Stone. In the UK and in partnership with the National Forest, Stone plants trees on behalf of customers who use the app to arrange a collection.
Due to the success of the app, Stone is now also able to offer businesses and organisations in France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain the same service. Stone Group launched the app to offer new and existing customers a solution to their own e-waste challenges and help minimise the enormous volume of broken or unwanted technology currently blighting our planet. Since its launch in late last year, the 360 app has prevented over 200k unwanted or broken items ending up in landfill.
Over nearly three decades, Stone’s passion for providing circular ICT solutions has seen the business become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of technology to education and the public sector, as well as a building a strong customer-base in the private sector. Now, with a growing presence across Europe, the Stone brand continues to expand and evolve to support its customers’ ever-changing ICT needs, while championing a sustainable approach to IT asset management.
